During my half-year study of - 'Wood and Metal' - in Norway, I gained an understanding of the material wood and the different techniques and tools within woodcraft. From ancient techniques to the nowadays big machine techniques. I learned how to make a knife, dovetails,
wood turn, cutting boards, and boxes.
Woodworking is an amazing craft because it involves working directly with materials from nature. There's something magical about working with my hands and transforming raw wood into beautiful creations. I find it incredibly fulfilling to connect with the natural fibers and explore the unique characteristics of various wood types. It's like having a real, tangible connection with what you're making, it creates a human relation between the craftsman and the raw material.
